Calcium Phosphoricum 6x

Calcium phosphoricum also know as Calcium phos is one of the most widely used Tissue salt or biochemic salt in Homeopathy. Calcium phos is mainly used in the conditions arising from deficiency of calcium in the human body whether it is the deficiency in the bones or blood calcium phos is used for extended periods of time to completely remove the deficiency of this salt in the body.

Calcium is one the most important tissue salt in the bones as it makes the bones dense and hard, in its absence the bones become very weak and prone to fracture. In the blood calcium place a very crucial role in maintaing the muscle activity.

Following are the important uses of calcium phos 6x;

Rickets:

Rickets is a disease found in young children caused by deficiency of calcium in the diet or in case of poor absorption of calcium from intestine in case of Vit D deficiency. In Rickets the bones in the children do not develop and harden normally and become soft and weak leading to deformities and chance of getting fractured on slight injury increases. The body structure of these kids remains small as of their age and body growth is stunted.

Osteomalacia:

Osteomalacia is adult rickets, the causes are same as observed in rickets in children but the clinical effects are different. The bones are not deformed as they have already developed normally instead the bones become weak and fragile, stress fractures or pathological fractures are commonly seen in the cases of osteomalacia. Mostly women are effected by this condition as pregnancy and lactation puts burden on the bones and overall health of a women and if there is calcium deficiency in her diet than chances of developing osteomalacia increase manyfolds.

Osteoporosis:

Osteoporosis is another common condition caused by deficiency of calcium in the bones. In this condition the bone calcium is lost resulting in porosity in the bones, the bony framework of the body becomes fragile and stress fractures are very very commonly observed in osteoporosis.

Tetany:

Tetany is a condition associated with the stiffness in the muscles which is very sudden and can lead to very serious circumstances if the chest muscles get effected by it. Tetany is caused by severe defieciency of calcium in the blood causing a state of spasm in the skeletal muscles which become hard and stiff and remain in such state for some time.

Calcium phos 6x is widely used in the above mentioned conditions involving deficiency of calcium. The main role of calcium phos is to maintain a healthy level of calcium in the bones (which is around 70% of the total bone mass) and also the blood calcium level (which is 10 to 11 mg/dl blood). The biggest advantage of using this tissue salt is that it has no side effect in the body and it is very safe to use this tissue salt for even longer periods of times.
